"FREIGHT TRAIN A work of atonement for the injustice and pain we've experienced in this century, expressing resistance, healing and hope for the future autumn, 1999 y.o."
A report from our correspondant in Tokyo Elton Suzuki:
BTW, I've been to Yokohama Trinennale today to see the Yoko work in question which is Freight Train. It was the last day of the event today, Nov. 11. The Yoko work in question, "Freight Train" was outdoors, not in the venue where the other countless exhibitions displayed and there was no taking photos. The weather was very clear, and anyone was allowed to take pix of the Freight Train because it was placed outdoors. I took way quite a few pix of the train which is Yoko's work. Believe it or not, the train has four speakers on the bottom, and the avant garde song which Yoko write and sings for this work are played repeatedly. The track sounded like the one that Yoko did at Itsukushma concert back in Oct. '95.
